New York in August

Woohoo! So it sounds like our reunion is official, eh Ladies?!?! Yay! It’s going to be so good to see everyone. We should think about what we want to do…, where we want to eat, etc. Can I just put in my request now that we NOT eat at any Italian restaurants?? I’m dying for ETHNIC!!! The article from New York Magazine that I linked to above has some good ideas. Or perhaps our personal New Yorkie friends have some good ideas… Ladies? I would love some really great Chinese food.

I was thinking it might be fun to go see a baseball game perhaps. The Yankees are playing the Los Angeles Anaheim team on Saturday, it looks like the cheapest tickets are about 40 bucks. Not that I’m a Yankees fan, but it might be a fun thing to do.

Have any of you been to the Peking Duck House? I hear good things, but now that I see the website, I’m doubting…

I would kind of like to do a little window shopping/walking tour kind of thing–you know, just kind of walk around a cool area and check it out, see the city a bit. Greenwhich Village, Chinatown, Central Park…That way we can talk and catch up too–which might be a bit difficult if we’re in museums all day or sometehing.

Can’t wait to see you all!

Rainy Bingo

I don’t know how many of you heard, but Binghamton got HUGE amounts of rain last week. The whole middle of the state did; the thruway was closed and there was a state of emergency in 20 counties or something. The high school stadium behind where I worked in Endicott was completely filled with water, and route 17c was washed out all over the place!

So, anybody miss Binghamton?

By the way, I started trying on wedding dresses with my sister this past weekend. It was a very bizarre experience. When looking in the mirror, my mind just could not seem to put my head and the wedding dress I was looking at in the same picture. It just didn’t seem real. I don’t know if that means I just haven’t found “the one” yet or my mind has some catching up to do with the rest of my plans. It was just the first trip, I plan on looking a lot more, but it was kind of neat and fun to begin. =)

By the way, do we have any more concrete plans on the NYC reunion?
