What Passion!

I got a candy valentine heart today (or rather I selected one for myself out of the bowl, expecting an exciting jolt of spontaneous passion). Guess what it said on it?
Let’s Read
Hellowwwwwwwwwww! Can we say NOT PASSIONATE. I mean, yes, reading together can certainly be a rewarding, soul-enriching, or even a bonding experience, but it’s NOT exactly at the top of The List of Things I Want To Do On Valentine’s Day. What’s your top ten list?

I’m not sure “Let’s F#@*” is an appropriate conversation heart. 🙂

Perhaps they meant “Let’s read” as “You are reciting poetry from under a balcony.”

I guess you’re right, Carrie, about the candymakers needing to do a certain amount of…censoring. *sigh* And I do agree with Hunks that reading is quite the romantic thing to do (especially since it is the select male who appreciates the pleasures of fine literature). I’m just saying that on my Valentine’s Day (which, is every day in February this year) I would appreciate a little more…excitement! Or, at least, let’s mix in the reading amoungst other, equally entertaining activities. Please.
