Cows & Hoses
On Sunday I decided to take out the porous hose we installed in the garden this summer. I need to re-till the whole plot before winter sets in and the hose was only going to be in the way. I think I may have mentioned before that the garden isn’t actually on a flat piece of land, but a slope. It’s been raining for the last couple of weeks, so the entire field was good and muddy. Things went pretty well until I reached the steeper part of our plot and whoooooooooooosh, I totally fell flat on my face and slid down the rest of the hill. Hahaha. (For those of you familiar with Anne of Green Gables – remember the scene where Anne & Diana chase the Jersey cow out of Rachel Lind’s potato field? This was pretty much the same deal.) My neighbor, who was gardening at the time got a good laugh anyways.
The other day I was looking on Etsy and found this Anne of Green Gables journal and thought of you! It’s funny that you mention it now.

OMG. You’re going to freak out, but I totally just rediscovered Etsy the day before you wrote this comment. I don’t think we need any further proof that we truly are kindred spirits!! My friend Carrie introduced me to Etsy years ago, but then I kind of forgot about it until this week. And now I’ve completely re-fallen in love with it. I want to buy everything. This is dangerous, since it’s Christmas time and my spending constraints are looser (during most of the year my spending conscience says “No NO you don’t need to be spending money on that!” but as Christmas approaches this turns into “You have to have that! Buy it, now!!!). Any chance you and the fam are coming North for the holidays?
Those are pretty hot journals. Sliding down the hill sounds like something that would (and has) happened to me!! Hope you’re OK 🙂
