A weekend trip to Padova and Venice.

We took the train from Torino to Padova on Saturday morning and explored Padova all Saturday. Our friends, Claudia & Fabrizio gave us a gift certificate to stay in the Boscolo hotel of our choice so we all decided to go to Padova together. We stayed in the new B4 hotel, which is in the commercial district of the city.
The hotel was almost completely surrounded by a shallow reflection pool.
The reflection pool was very cool. I found it surprising that no one had thrown any money in to make a wish.
The other buildings in the area were also of very contemporary architecture...

In the reception area there were two of these giant eggs made out of cut glass crystals, plenty of oversized vases with tropical plants, and short leather couches.

What we knew as the breakfast room turned into a chic restaurant at night.
The breakfast buffet was bountiful with fruit, cereals, pastries, juices, gourmet marmalades and great tea!
Here's a picture of our room. We were on the penultimo floor - 7 stories up.
The decor in the entire hotel was modern and minimalist. Our room was a good room for a business person in the area for a couple of days.
The bathroom. The fixtures in the bathroom were very awkward. In fact the receptionist spent at least five minutes trying to explain to us how everything worked!
The soaps were in really hot brightly-colored containers, and were all Etro.
