Snow Day!

It snowed so much Thanksgiving night that no one went to work today! Lucky for me I’m in the IT industry and so could at least partially work from home.ย  This is the view out our kitchen window; the first one on the left ws taken at 8AM, the other two after lunch.

The whole working at home thing is a curse and a blessing. It’s nice to work in your jammies, but then you never get a real “snow day”!!! That is, unless the electricity goes out, and that’s not much fun either ๐Ÿ™‚ NC would be shut down for about a week with that much snow. We stay home at the forecast of a snowflake. Did you go on a snow walk?? ๐Ÿ™‚

You’re right about the blessing/curse thing. And the electricity did actually go out for five minutes, so I was hoping for a REAL snow day. Being restrained to our dial up internet connection, I was a bit limited though (more frustrating than anything!) and so only worked a half a day. I didn’t go on a snow walk yet! I am such a loser. Luca didn’t want to go last night, so I’m going to go by myself this morning. There’s a ton of sun today! But we’re supposed to get more snow later on.

Yeah for snow days! It was getting pretty “White Christmas” here in Rochester for Thanksgiving. I am NOT ready… I am in Buffalo for the weekend, staying at Bntz’s house. He says hi! I hope you brought the Turkey and trimmings to our Italian friends. Gotta REPRESENT!

I heard you guys got quite a bit of snow too – I’m not sure I’m ready either. It was really exciting the first couple days, but now it’s just hard to go anywhere. Say hi to Hunks for me! Unfortunately, this year we did not celebrate Thanksgiving here, I’m going to celebrate with the Fam while I’m home for Christmas. Hope you had a great turkey day!
