Peanut Sauce
Tonight we tried peanut sauce for the first time. Nastiness!! It was about the grossest thing I’ve ever tasted in my whole life. Thank God I tasted it before slathering it all over my chicken!! Eww. Definitely added to the list of things I don’t like. Perhaps there is a tastier version out there somewhere. I imagine it must be better if you make it yourself–this was a store bought version, so maybe that was the problem…
How can you hate peanut sauce?? LOL. I highly enjoy it. I’ve liked the store bought kind better than the recipes I’ve found (so far). I can’t remember the brand name that we normally use – it comes in a tall skinny bottle with a black label. We usually put it on pork chops, but I’ve also resorted to using it to rev up crappy peanut noodle recipes I’ve found. I’m still in search of a reliable but not totally time-consuming source for thai recipes.
Oh yeah… do you (or maybe your Mom??) have a recipe for great pad thai?? I’ve been using the packaged kits to make it but they require so much other ingredients (and usually a healthy dose of asian chili sauce) I’m starting to think that I might as well learn to make it from scratch!
