Fishnet: No Longer Just For Able-bodied Seamen

I wore fishnet stockings today for the first time in my life.  And to work, no less!  It was quite the liberating experience.

We’re getting business cards made up and I highly enjoy the fact that mine says:

Dott.ssa Shira Crane    International Relations

Hellow, can we get any hotter?  I always have felt that I deserve a formal title.  And “Doctoressa” is extremely sexy…hence the fishnet stockings.

Okay, okay.  So I haven’t had time to do laundry this week and already used my two pairs of black stockings.  So this morning, as I was running late, I came across these fishnetters and said, “What the heck!  Other ladies at work occasionally wear fishnet stockings (interesting tights are VERY big on the fashion scene here in Alba), and I’m at least 20 years younger than they are, so I think I can get away with it.”

And I did.

    Hey Shiraz!
Visiting Aunt J for a pre Easter weekend trip. Heard abut your new job, Doctoressa, and want to know more about it. Alba has a bit more going on than Verduno and so I’m sure you’re on your way to more shocking fashion risks. Which as you said aren’t really risks in Italia, but daily fashion standards. Let’s see… moving to Newport this week. I’ll let you know how that goes. Dewey’s having a baby with Jada in Florida-yes shocked and happy! Won’t make it to Italia this year, as cousin Berry is getting married in AZ this May. But keep an eye out for some good wine and cheese picnic spots and I’ll be back next year. Miss you and now that I’m on the mainland hope to get a chance to come visit you when your in NY next. So let me know when that is!!! Ciao a Luca!

It is really nice to catch such intelligent blog on net! I was already bored to death by all this stupidity around and baaaah! A girl whose dream is not to be a president wife or crowned head but wish to make choco as good as she wish it should be! I am under impression! I was reading Your texts all the night, sometimes laughing sometimes being sad – but it all seems so real,so natural! Great job!! And please, forgive me some spelling errors, my english doesn’t seems to be as good as I desire – but I am trying to improve. Best greetings from Poland!

    Hey Shira!
How ARE you these days? I was thinking about you the other day when my mom asked when our class reunion is-can you believe it’s been almost 8 years since we graduated?!
I hope that you are enjoying your time over there in Italy (at least I think that’s where you are!). So jealous…:) Please drop me a line when you get a moment and let me know what you’ve been up to.
