Oooh, Testy!

I really detest slow drivers on one lane streets (you know the kind with double lines and oncoming traffic in the other lane). GOD They’re so annoying!! Especially at night when it’s snowing, because you really just can’t pass anyone. Driving home tonight I had to actively restrain myself from laying on the horn and ramming into the back of some guy’s 1982 sky blue chevrolet. Is it REALLY necessary to go 35 in a 55?!?! Seriously. The roads are not that bad.

Minnie Mae managed to manipulate her leash around the farthest tree from the house when I put her on her run this evening. You know that means: tramping through the wind & ice storm to untangle her from said bush because she couldn’t figure out how to do it herself. GAHIGAHGISDHS. Obviously not in a great mood and super tired and just…done.

P.S. One good thing is that I got new glasses the other day and they really make me look like I do in the above “profering chocolates” photo! I love having glasses again–(I sat on the last pair after a rough night at work)–my eyes can breathe! I should re-do the logo and insert the real me sporting my new glasses! Ha!

Isn’t commuting just the best! Anyway congratulations on your first pair of perscription cool funks!!!! How’s your new job going snyway??

Thanks. Yeah, commuting totally sucks. I hope that this will be the last job I have that I have to drive to. Forty-five minutes times two is way too long to have to drive to a less-than-inspiring job. I want to be able to walk to all jobs from now on. If the job is really great, then I might be willing to commute. Otherwise, forget it.

The new job is alright. I’m hoping it’s going to get better pretty quickly actually. As of last night I’m pretty much done training on garde manger and shouldn’t have to follow anyone around again until I switch over to the meat station. I like to be in charge and don’t like it when people teach me how do to something when I can see that they’re obviously doing it badly or wrong themselves. *sigh* I’m starting Italian lessons on Saturday and am VERY excited about that!

Well, probably once you’re on your own things will get better. 45 minutes is a rough commute… especially becuase 490 is the most boring road ever! Mine sometimes takes that long if there’s a lot of traffic.. but then it’s a little bit more exciting cause there’s other cars around. lol.
Italian lessons do sound hot indeed! Post the coolfunks (and those special new years pictures) ASAP!
    Love,

I’d like to share some more commuting rage. This morning, I was in the middle lane on the highway, and this guy totally cuts me off and starts going slow. I proceed to have to jam on my brakes in the middle of traffic (not a good idea).

Then, I move into the right lane to get off my exit. The guy cuts me off AGAIN! I honk at him because I am pissed off. He proceeds to give me the finger. Hellow, do not cut people off so closely that they have to brake in order to let you in completely. WHAT-ever.

SO FUN! Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. 🙂 lol.

Nelly. I’m glad you honked at him! It sounds like he was not driving safely at all!

On the flip side, I’ve been trying to take advantage of the commute for the past two days. Using positive visualization to imagine that time as ME Time. Trying to think about important decisions, get my mental mis en place if you will. At least for part of the trip. It’s also essential to blare the music and sing at the top of your lungs for at least half of the commute.
